Lighting up and decorating the mosques and organizing Ibtihal recitation and Quran recitation programs and speeches about the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are among the activities during the celebrations.
People and mosque worshippers are also served with pastry and sweet drinks.
Mustafa Abdul Salam, the imam and preacher of the Imam Hussein (AS) mosques said Egyptians love the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and honoring Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) originates from this love.
He described the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a great and blessed day and congratulated all Muslims and Arabs on the coming of the auspicious occasion.
